SAT (Suspended Above Time)
STILL (Silent Thoughts in Lingering Light)
In this windowless room, the clock hands pause—
Welcoming whispers of time that never truly was.
Shadows stretching, reaching for the fading light,
as Day blows a gentle kiss to Night.
A leaf, amber and worn,
drifts silently.
It speaks of journeys on winds unseen,
of places untouched, what it has seen.
Yet in its flight of grace,
a dance with the air, a slow embrace.
It asks softly, without a sound,
where do we go when no one's around?
For in this leaf, a story untold,
of life, of loss, of growing old.
A quiet reminder, in its descent,
of precious moments, quietly spent.

Broken Wings
An angel,
Fallen from the heavens, I bowed to you.
I, an ignorant servant, at your feet.
How quickly, after showing
Your broken wings,
Did I forget
A fallen angel can't return to the heavens.

DINNER TABLE
I sit crossed-legged at a dinner table,
Lying in a forest
Where the trees meet at their roots,
Intertwining like birds in the sky,
And their leaves wave to each other—
A neighborly hello.
Here my mind can be free
From the stress of everyday life,
Where it can be as empty as could be.
Feeling numb from it all,
Feeling nothing at all.
In plain sight,
Yet no one joins me here at this dinner table.
Safe in a familiar spot,
Sitting here with no one,
Sitting with all my friends.

Thank You
Walking next to you—
A dream I have daily.
A good night's kiss,
To wish upon good dreams.
A good morning kiss,
To start another great day.
I prayed to deities,
To whomever would listen:
I prayed for you.
Crushing down upon my dreams,
You came with an iron fist.
Blowing kisses to the air around me,
Leaving me chasing—
Chasing what I’ll never have.
They say,
"Everything happens for a reason,”
The reason as unclear as driving through a storm—
The reason.
I’m not good enough.
The reason is that I’m not perfect.
I may wish upon stars,
I may pray to deities of another world,
But yet unheard, my prayers go,
For you were the one I prayed for,
The one I wished for—
For you are no longer part of my dream.
I wait for the day that I see you,
The day my stomach doesn’t drop,
Butterflies don’t form at its depth.
Waiting for the day I smile with confidence,
Waiting for the day I say,
"You were once a dream, but no longer,
I wish you well.”
The day I say,
Thank you.
